Our story so far...
In the beginning...
Louise started The Toy Shop started when her first born was only little. At 3 years old he had birthday money and there was no nice toy store locally to spend his pennies and so the dream was born.
The Toy Shop opened in 2019, brining delightful toys to local children and holiday makers.
Louise's passion for sustainability led to a carefully curated selection of eco-friendly, wooden toys, sustainable beach toys and homeware for the eco-conscious family.
The shop, full of charming, heirloom toys and lots of Miffy plush toys, known locally as Bay Bunnies!
Time for change
Exciting times ahead..
In 2023, the bricks and mortar store closed it's doors (for the time being) and The Toy Shop evolved into a solely online store.
Toys are hand picked, hand packaged and posted to their forever home with love from the Yorkshire Coast.
Louise continues to meet families and sell her products at various markets and fairs across North Yorkshire.
